Establishing Business in Cyprus
International companies may invest and establish business in Cyprus on equal terms with local investors. Foreign investors can register a company directly with the Registrar of Companies, and obtain any license, if needed, from the appropriate authority depending on the nature of investment.
Investors may address to the Investors Service Centre of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism for further guidance and direction on a case by case basis. Subsequently, administrative procedures have been simplified and no limitations apply in most sectors of the economy, as per the minimum level of investment and the foreigners/ participation percentage.
Cyprus Investment Programme
According to global immigration experts, Cyprus ranks as one of the best relocation destinations of the world for its key business and leisure indicators – EU Member State status, geographical location and climate, strong infrastructure, educational benefits and highly favourable tax incentives.
With a special focus on the new ‘Cyprus Investment Programme‘, announced by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus, Refalco provides a full support throughout the process – legal review and preparation of documents, investment proposals and property valuation and acquisition, followed through with the complete application procedure.
Any person holding the nationality of a Member State automatically becomes a citizen of the European Union, enjoying the rights to live and work within the EU without any restrictions. Once the citizenship is obtained, eligibility is then passed onto the applicants’ children and their descendants. EU citizenship is additional to and does not replace national citizenship.
Establishing Business in GCC
Since the establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council in 1981 as a political and economic alliance between the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait, GCC has become one of the fastest growing economies in the world. The region’s economic diversification towards construction, finance, manufacturing, telecom and service sectors continue to attract entrepreneurs, investors and corporations from around the world to establish their business presence in the region.
Understanding the right markets to enter and the specific requirements in each jurisdiction are key factors for a successful operation of the business, both locally and in the region’s dedicated International Finance Centers and Free Trade Zones. Refalco’s role is to provide guidance from experienced advisors and business consultants in developing and promoting the engagement with local associates and partners, as well as export management, joint venturing and off-shore production services in GCC region.
